In August Aaron and I had two Chloe's (Aaron's niece and my niece) turn 8. We had the opportunity to see Chloe Stanley get baptized at the beginning of August, for Labor Day we went down to St. George to see Chole Allen get baptized. At each baptism I felt such a sweet spirit and it was such a joy to see each girl come out of the water brimming with joy. Here is everyone that traveled down to St. George for some Labor Day fun.

Addie inherited Aaron's bright blue eyes and puppy dog face. Needless to say she and her daddy have me wrapped around their little fingers.

Sometimes it takes me off guard to look at pictures and see that my little girl is growing up and becoming such a little lady. Here she is sitting in the bike trailer telling me it time for our daily ride around the neighborhood. This is also a front view of a hair do that I did on Addie.

July and August Fun

Addie's hair is getting long enough that I am able to do some cute hairdos. On this day she held still long enough to let me do this hairdo.

I did some cute little braided pig tails and I put Addie down for her nap, when she woke up one pig tail would not stay down.

In July we also celebrated Matt's 16th birthday. Grandma Allen made the cake and we put the motorbike on top and it sunk into it.

One day I will get him to really smile.


Motorbiking and Hiking on the 24th of July

For the 24th of July we went up North Canyon to where Bryce and Brenda were camping. Addie and Aaron went for a hike while Brandon, Matt, Bryce, Emilee and I went motorbiking. This motorbiking trip was not a lucky one for us girls. Emilee hit a rock and ended up having a black and blue stubbed toe. I went down a hill with a lot of loose shell rock and my bike tipped over and I ended up breaking my foot. Emilee and I did end up riding for about 3 more hours and loved it.

Addie fell a sleep on the hike.

The next weekend we changed the motorbike and four wheeler oil. Aaron took Addie for a ride after.

Addie loves getting out my cooking bowls and playing with them. One day I turned around to see her stepping from one bowl to the other.


Good vs. Evil

Aaron and I looked at our house as being the dark and not so inviting house with all the black, so this last weekend we decided that we would change it up and paint the door and trim.

While I was painting Addie was daddies little helper. Here she is trying to push the wheel barrow.

"Look Honey I found some cute dirt." Addie was very intrigued with everything that daddy was doing. At first she sat on the rake as he raked, and when he got to the shovel, well let's just say this wasn't staged.

Daddy started digging a hole and Addie wanted to help dig , or just wanted to be in the hole.

Summer Projects and tons of FUN!

Addie has started to LOVE talking on the phone. She will talk to Aaron on the phone all the way home from work (which is so helpful while I finish dinner). The other day Brain called and wanted to talk to Aaron but Addie want to talk to him first, so we let her talk.....well about 5 minutes later we had a crying little girl with her wanting to still talk so I gave her my phone to put up to her ear and I would talk to her. THAT DID NOT WORK! She is just too smart, so we went down stairs and Skyped Grandma. THANK YOU technology you make my little girl happy every day.

CHOCOLATE! Sorry it is not chocolate, it is black beans from Cafe Rio. Addie loves Mexican food. I just might have to get her own burrito next time we are there ;) hehehehe!

Amy and Matt drove up from Texas to visit the most important people.....US well I guess us and all the rest of the family. They did stay at our house for a few days. Andrew, Zach and Addie had so much fun playing together and having fun just being face to face and not over Skype. This is just a glimpse of how much fun these three had. Thank you Zach for letting your little cousin tag along with you where ever you went.

Since Addie is in love with her cousin Brayden, I thought that I needed to get her a baby doll. She absolutely loves her so much.

This year for the Allen family reunion we went down to Pine Valley and had a blast there in a cabin. Tyson decided to take all of us willing passengers on a ride around the town in the trailer. We were able to see some really amazing houses and Aaron and I got a lot of ideas and what to do and what not to do with our home.

The great adventure of the SEWER PIPE!
The BEGINNING- In December I was doing laundry and when I came down stairs to change the laundry I found the room all wet. We called the plumber and he came and ground out the pipe and also put a camera down there to see what the problem was. The problem turned out to be tree roots in the pipe.

The SOLUTION- Replace the pipe in our front yard.

Aaron and Brian dug down to find where the pipe came out of the house.

Starting to dig. We thought that the pipe went straight out to the street........

but after digging for about 8 feet we found that it did a 45 degree turn to the corner of our property and the GAS LINE.

Addie and I spent some of the time in side the house, but most of the time outside playing in the dirt with the boys. Addie crawled under the bench to play, she would not let me get a picture.

Everyday with Addison

Addie is getting be be quite the adventurous little girl. It seems like every other day I am finding her in a new place or doing something new. While I cook dinner Addie loves to explore the kitchen cabinets and drawers, here she is in the pots and pans cabinet playing hide and seek.

I also love the new expressions that I am getting from Addie. Addie was getting quite impatient with not being able to see and hold the camera.

Addie loves bracelets. She will put the bracelets on her arm and walks around with them on her arm or in her mouth.

She also loves Aaron's trick sticks and will walk around using them like a cane. Here is the first time using both the stick and bracelets at the same time. When she put the stick on the ground to walk around her bracelets stared to fall off, so she picked the stick back up but the bracelets were still on the stick so she put the stick back down and one bracelet fell off. Addie was like oh no and proceeded to pick up the bracelet off the ground while loosing the other bracelets onto the ground. She then proceeded to pick the the bracelets up one by one. After doing this process couple of times she finally figured how to hold all the bracelets in one hand and the stick in the other. It is the cutest thing to watch her little mind figure things out.

Here is my mom with Addison and Brayden (new cousin). Addie loves to hold and give her little cousin Brayden hugs and kisses. Addie loves him so much that when she was holding Brayden he started to cry so my Mom took him out of her arms to bounce him, Addie immediately grabbed Brayden around his tummy and guide him back to her lap. In order to let both Brayden and Addie be happy I had to bribe her with snacks and with a little bit of tears she finally allow my Mom to take him off her lap.

Each night while undressing Addie to get her into her pj's Aaron finds new ways to have fun with Addie. So one night Aaron took her sock off with his teeth and they decided to have a tug a war with it in there mouths.

Since about January we have been looking for a hiking backpack for Addie so we could go hiking, since we were not having any luck with finding a used one in Salt Lake I had my sister Amy look down in Houston to find us one there. When we got it Aaron and Addie had to try it out. Addie loves it so much that when uwe took her out she starts climbing into it again, we finally just had to deal with some tears and put the pack away. We are extremely excited to use it the beginning of July. Thank You Amy!

It is truly amazing what kids learn by just their parents example. Aaron and I love using our head phones on our cell phones so we can can talk and do other things at the same time. Addie one day surprised us by putting the ear phones into her ears and started to dance when she heard Aaron's phone playing music.
